but maybe thats just me. i infact thought that this expansion pack came with better animals then the endangered species one. i purchased this pack for 9 dollars and IT WAS A GREAT BUY. first of all i'm addicted to zootycoon, and i HAD to have all the expansion packs for it. i have absolutely no complaints at all.
There is a pre-set goal that you must complete to move on. There are a few different modes you can choose from. the more popular your zoo becomes, the more things that your zoo unlocks. If you want a challenge, try the challenge mode.
I'm a long time fan of the Zoo tycoon games since 2001 when I was given my first one. The variety of animals is amzing. Lastly- the campaign mode. It is amazing to be able to create your own zoo and breeding populations of animals.
It gives you certain challenges that you can accept or decline while you play your game. This is a perfect gift for a tween or young teen. It is a challenge when youg zoos grow large and intricate to keep the guests happy. The Freeform is where you have unlimited money and all of the animal species unlocked.
Overall it's a decent expansion. It added quite a few new animals but only a couple more campaign modes. I purchased this expansion pack for my wife who loves the Zoo Tycoon series. She enjoyed it very much.
This is a really great game and people should appreciate it more. I recommend Zoo Tycoon 2 for anyone, of all ages. It is great for kids of any age who like to create and build.
It really adds a lot of animals to it and gives you more gameplay. I personally have beaten the whole game but free form is the best. This expansion pack to ZT2 is a great addition i think.
This pack really adds a lot to free play with unlimited money. That is all. Although you dont get many new maps or items, except for new or different looking stand, this expansion pack is great for the animals.
It isnt that good for campaign or new items, but the variety of animals it gives you is great.
My 8 year old could use it fairly well, but had to age a little before he understood the business end of it. There is nothing bad about this game and I recommend it for any age that can understand how to create with the software. It also lets you walk your zoo as a visitor, or ride in some of the rides you can create.
We installed it on my computer because the video card in his computer was too old. I quickly purchased Zoo Tycoon 2, and upgraded with Marine Mania, endangered species, and African adventure expansion packs. I purchased the original Zoo Tycoon for my son.
The newer version lets you interact with the animals, feeding, watering, and cleaning pens. Highly recommend. I quickly became addicted to it myself.
It is very educational in that it teaches animal husbandry, business management, and architecture.
